5 Apr, 2023 - A medium-bodied red with crunchy fruit and tight tannin structure. Juicy acidity coming through. Chewy and solid at the end. Closed and pretty tannins.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Very elegant nose with multi-layered fruit, ripe blackcurrants, elderberries and mulberries, hints of blackcurrant jelly in the background. Well- structured with hints of pencil shavings, gingerbread spices and fine toasting. On the palate well- structured and tightly knit with ripe tannins, juicy fruit and elegant spiciness, discreet toasting in the background. Well balanced with convincing length and aromatic depth.

Terroir

Mehrheitlich Kiesböden aus der Günzeiszeit. Das Alter der Rebberge beträgt im Schnitt 35 Jahre und die Pflanzdichte 10'000 Stöcke/ha. Der Pflanzbestand ist 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc und 5% Petit Verdot, wobei die prozentuale Zusammensetzung der einzelnen Jahrgänge varieren kann.
