This got a big "Wow" in my notes. Floral, perfumed and elegant, with copious raspberry, white pepper and spice nuances, it flows onto the palate with a seamless, ethereal texture, silky tannin and no hard edges. Already approachable and a total thrill to drink, it should continue to impress for over a decade. - Robert Parker
The Beautiful is only made in years when we can co-ferment Viognier and Syrah. Here she goes again - feminine, complex, and balanced like a tightrope walker. Crushed velvet palate and beautifully perfumed, this Syrah is A BEAUTY! - Charles SmithThe wine is open top fermented with native yeast with 50% stems
Owned and farmed by Dana Dibble, planted in 2001. The site is located south of Walla Walla in the oldWalla Walla River bed; the soil is rocky and with great drainage. The clone of Syrah sourced is Tablas Creek, which thrives in the big river stone cobble. This is the warmest site in the Walla Walla valley.
